A native of Bogotá, Colombia, Marcela has worked with consumer, corporate, nonprofit and business-to-business clients in industries such as banking/finance, food, healthcare, public utilities, transportation, education, government, and the arts. She plays a key role in the development of marketing, communications and grassroots campaigns, from conception and copywriting to production.

 

A native of Bogotá, Colombia, Marcela has worked with consumer, corporate, nonprofit and business-to-business clients in industries such as banking/finance, food, healthcare, public utilities, transportation, education, government and the arts. She plays a key role in the development of marketing, communications and grassroots campaigns, from conception and copy writing to production.

Prior to co-founding the Culture Shift Team, Marcela was founder and CEO of Hispanic Marketing Group, which, from its inception in 2002, became a leading full-service bilingual and bicultural marketing and communications agency. Currently, she leads CST's strategic multicultural public relations division, offering counsel and services to consumer, corporate, nonprofit and other clients.

In addition to her award-winning public relations career, Marcela is a media personality and host of Panorama TV on Channel 5+ in Nashville. She also is a champion of small business owners and entrepreneurs, having founded the ELLA program for Latina entrepreneurs. Marcela holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogotá.
